Congratulations to the General Amherst Bulldogs from Amherst, Ontario, our new Girls AA Volleyball champions!
Great job, girls! Check back on the website next week, I will post the video of your final games. - update - looks like there were some recording issues, I'll have to see what I can do with the files that I have.
We have had inquiries about purchasing pictures of the games - every picture that we took is available free on this website. If you want to make a print or use pics in your yearbook or websites, please do so! Make sure you download the full resolution version by clicking on the drop down box above the picture to the right.
This thread is open for commenters. We'd love to hear about your OFSAA experience, whether you were here as a player, coach or fan or watching the site and webcast from home. This is a good place to send out greetings or thanks to any individual who you think made a difference in your OFSAA experience. Please feel free to offer suggestions for improvement as well - we are running the boys AA OFSAA in November, so we'd love to know if there's anything we could improve on!
Thanks, everyone, for a fantastic tournament.

Excellent webpage...great pictures...timely results....and historic webcasting - first time for Ofsaa volleyball...and likely a first for any OFSAA championship. You have raised the bar for others.
Ofsaa committee is to be congratulated for a wonderful organized tournament ...and the players and coaches for providing some of the best volleyball this town has seen in a long time.
I am a WECSSA junior coach from Kingsville and I am soooo proud of our team and of General Amherst. Way to represent Essex County! GO GOLD!!!!!

My daughters have been to a number of OFSAA events. Basketball, Track and Field and Volleyball. All of these events were well run. However, they were all held in larger communities
where the community was oblivious to the event itself. My daughter has told me the guest hosts were a wonderful idea. She also said she had a wonderful time and your entire community was involved. Congratulations to the city of Dryden for a terrific job!
I could not be in Dryden this week but thanks to the amazing job your group did running this tourny i felt like i was there with my daughter and my wife.Congratulations on a job well done.To Coaches Jeff Miller,Mary Ewer(my wife)and to The General Amherst OFSAA champs,we are so proud of you and to my daughter Jessica congratulations on a great career at Amherst. What a way to go out.I love you.#1 FAN,DAD

Congratulations!!! You have made Amherst & Amherstburg so proud. What a terrific accomplishment.Have a safe trip home. We're waiting. Love to all for a job well done.
This OFSAA was first class. Very user-friendly web page with up-to-the-minute information. What a memorable experience for the teams, coaches and parents. Thank you for all your hard work as organizers.
Great job on the website. A group of parents were able to get together and watch the game in Kingsville and it was almost as great as being there. You also did an excellent job on keeping the results posted. Thank you
I checked out a number of OFSAA websites over the past week and this was BY FAR the best web-page. Information was easy to access, updated quickly and the web-cam was terrific. It makes me very proud to be a teacher and a coach in the KPDSB board!
I was also very impressed with the web site. the web cast allowed me and all of my friends to watch and cheer on our LADY GENS to an OFSAA Championship. CONGRATULATIONS GIRLS way to end a great season. We are all very proud of you!!! :)

Just wanted to let the tournament organizers know what a fantastic job they did to get the action out to those who weren't able to go to Dryden to support their respective teams. Even being many hours away in St. Catharines, we were still able to catch some great volleyball action through the webcasts and the "up to date" results made it extremely easy to follow along!
thanks and "great job" to all of you!
cheers
Laura
This is two gold medals in the same year for General Amherst. As an outside observer (assistant coach, Etobicoke Collegiate girls' basketball in Toronto) I am amazed at the accomplishments of the General Amherst girls in basketball and volleyball this year. I know a member of your basketball team, Nicky Gignac. I did not see her name on the volleyball roster, but I did see the names Kristy Chute and Jessica Ewer from the basketball team. Two gold medals for these two girls in one year at high school is a remarkable achievement. Their parents should market their training program to OFSAA. Congratulations to an awesome school for girls sports!
Just wanted to congratulate the A'burg girls on a job well done! Wow, you all rock!!!!
Also want to thank the organizers for the fantastic pictures and coverage of the games. Wasn't able to be there this time but watched the games on my computer and it was great ... three cheers for all of you!

I just wanted to thank the community of Dryden for their hostpitality. From the ambassadors to the teenage boy who held open the door for me and my team, everyone welcomed all of participants and made them feel part of the community. I would also like to thank the Eagle Lake community for hosting a site and cheering on the girls while they played. My players(LoEllen Park) felt welcomed by the communty and would like to pass a special thanks to Helen and Daryld. Yours with thanks, Tom Sutton

Well, OFSAA has once again been an incredible experience. Allthough me and my team(Franco-Cité) have only beento OFSAA twice, i can honestly say that this has been the best one EVER! The webcasts, pictures and up to date results were incredible. It let those of us who were way up in Dryden share the experience with all of our families and friends!!!Thank you so much to the City of Dryden and all those involved, the Dryden eagles(the nicest girls team ever, for cheering us on in the final) and coaches as well as the community were so kind, and you all made our exprience one we will never forget!!!!!!!!!!Thanks again Dryden! You rock!:)

My team and I had a wonderful time in Dryden. The Holiday Inn, the schools, the townspeople and everyone we met made our experience more pleasurable.
